INK FOR 100 DAYS

I am a life-long lettering artist/calligrapher. I chose to paint my ink bottles, and hoped
all along that there would be 100. (Lucky me, there were 100.) Some were colorful, some were dull. A few had dramatic shapes, most didn't. Some were old, some very new. Each one was unique. I found it fascinating that I’ve seen these ink bottles for many years, however each one became new as I looked closely and painted them. I discovered many wonderful details that had been overlooked.

Each ink bottle was painted on a 2” square of watercolor paper. When the project was complete, I assembled the 100 pieces into a poster.

Many people inquired about having a copy of the poster. I decided to work with Society6.com online to offer the poster along with mugs, tote bag and greeting cards using my design. This has been simple and successful.

I enjoyed every moment of the 100 Days Project 2021. (I joined up in 2022, and gleefully painted 100 writing tools.) I’m impatiently awaiting the beginning of the 100 Days Project 2023.
